Collezione Zazà - LOGO

Length: 148 cm
Width: 8.5 cm
Material: 100% Pure wool
Color: Aviation blue with geometric pattern
Production: Artisanal, Made in Italy

The pure wool crafted for this three-fold tie has a visual grain that absorbs light instead of reflecting it. The aviation blue background, punctuated by a geometric micro-pattern, doesn't try to imitate the slippery formality of silk. It is an accessory born for the cold months, designed to complement thick fabrics and unstructured jackets, giving the knot that full, opaque volume that completely changes the balance of an open collar.

Style and Pairing Advice

  • Agency briefing: The matte aviation blue fits perfectly into contexts where a tie is a personal choice, not a strict dress-code obligation.
Outfit: Unstructured gray tweed blazer, light blue Oxford shirt, dark selvedge denim, and black leather Chelsea boots.
  • Business lunch: The geometric patterned wool tones down the severity of the classic corporate suit, maintaining a clean line but with a warmer visual impact.
Outfit: Navy blue flannel suit, white button-down collar shirt, burnt leather derby shoes.
  • Evening downtown: The winter separates require fabrics with weight and character to balance the outerwear's volume without getting lost in the background.
Outfit: Forest green corduroy jacket, chambray shirt, cream fustian trousers, and heavy lug-sole loafers.

The tailor's advice: Pure wool has natural volume. A simple knot (Four-in-Hand) is the only sensible choice here: asymmetrical, compact, to be tightened well at the base to create the central dimple without overloading the shirt collar.

Product care: Dry clean. Do not iron directly: if necessary, use steam from a distance or a damp cotton cloth in between on low heat. Store unrolled or hanging, away from direct heat sources to preserve the wool's thermal structure. If one day the fabric wears out or the knot loses its shape, there's our Tie Hospital. You send it, we fix it, and it's back in action.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a wool and a silk tie? +
Wool absorbs light, resulting in a matte and textured finish, while silk tends to reflect it. A pure wool tie is heavier, creates a more voluminous knot, and is exclusively designed for the autumn/winter season on structured fabrics.
What is the best knot for an 8.5 cm wide pure wool tie? +
The Four-in-Hand knot (simple knot) is ideal. The pure wool fabric already has a significant thickness, so complex knots like the Windsor would be too clumsy and disproportionate to the shirt collar.
Can I wear this aviation blue tie with an elegant suit? +
It is designed for winter-flavored, less rigid suits, such as flannel, fustian, or tweed. It is not suitable for a shiny cool wool suit for a formal ceremony, because the contrast between the wool's opacity and the worsted fabric's sheen visually clashes.
How do you remove folds from a wool tie after wearing it? +
Wool has excellent shape memory. Just completely untie the knot at the end of the day and hang the tie overnight. If folds persist, apply a light jet of steam from a few centimeters away without ever placing the hot iron directly on the fabric.
