The jacquard weave offers a slight relief under the fingertips, breaking the typical flatness of smooth fabrics. This three-fold tie plays with regimental stripes — beige, blue, white, and brown — without looking like an English college uniform. It has the character of someone who knows how to wear the classics and then forget about them, letting the geometries speak for themselves.

Style and Pairing Advice

  • Agency briefing: Regimental stripes call for clean contrasts, and such a structured tie breaks the formality when paired with dry summer fabrics.
Outfit: Unlined navy blue cotton suit, light blue fine striped poplin shirt, dark woven leather loafers.
  • Business lunch: The beige and brown of the tie call for earth tones, perfect for capturing natural light without being heavy.
Outfit: Oatmeal linen blazer, white leno weave cotton shirt, dark blue chinos, brown suede loafers without socks.
  • Evening vernissage: Build a bold yet calibrated mismatched suit. The tie acts as the exact chromatic bridge between the jacket and the trousers.
Outfit: Unstructured tobacco brown jacket, washed light denim shirt, creamy white cotton trousers.

The tailor's advice: Jacquard silk has its own natural body. With an 8.5 cm blade, a half-Windsor knot is the most geometrically sensible choice: it fills the shirt collar well without creating a too massive knot. A small central dimple is a must.

Product care: Dry clean. Do not iron directly on the fabric — use a damp cloth in between at low temperature. Store hanging or rolled up, never folded across. If wrinkles form, a few minutes hanging in a humid environment is enough. If one day it wears out or needs fixing, there's our Tie Hospital — the only regeneration service in Italy. Send it to us, it comes back like new.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between jacquard silk and printed silk? +
In jacquard, the design is woven directly into the fabric's weave, not printed on the surface. This gives the tie a slight thickness to the touch and different light reflections depending on the angle, ensuring a more structured knot.
With which shirt colors does this regimental pattern stand out best? +
The beige background with blue and brown stripes is extremely versatile. It works perfectly on solid white or light blue shirts, but for a less trivial look, it pairs beautifully with a light blue very fine striped (bengal stripe) shirt.
Is an 8.5 cm regimental tie too formal for every day? +
On the contrary. 8.5 centimeters is the classic width par excellence, balanced on the lapels of most jackets. The diagonal striped pattern breaks the monotony and adapts well both to the office and to more creative contexts.
Can I remove stains from jacquard silk with water? +
No. Water can leave permanent halos on silk and ruin the tension of the jacquard threads. In case of a stain, immediately dab dry to absorb and take it to a specialized dry cleaner as soon as possible.
