Collezione Zazà - LOGO

Length: 148 cm
Width: 8.5 cm
Material: 100% wool
Color: Navy blue with burgundy geometric pattern
Production: Handcrafted, Made in Italy

Opaque wool absorbs light instead of reflecting it, giving a rough and visually compact texture. This navy blue 3-fold tie, marked by a dense burgundy geometric pattern, has the right presence for the cold months. An accessory with the necessary weight to keep the knot firm from morning to night, without requiring further adjustments.

Style and Pairing Advice

  • Monday at the agency: Navy blue calls for rigor, the texture of the wool tones it down. A sharp contrast of volumes and textures that works without looking overly studied.
Outfit: Charcoal grey flannel blazer, light blue oxford shirt, midnight blue chino trousers, black leather Chelsea boots.
  • Informal business lunch: The wool tie gives its best when it meets other rough fabrics typical of winter. The burgundy of the geometric pattern provides the necessary visual impact to break up earth tones.
Outfit: Tweed jacket in cool brown tones, dark burgundy knit waistcoat, white twill shirt, raw selvedge denim, dark brown derby shoes.
  • Evening vernissage: A less constructed approach to classic proportions. It is tied a little lower, letting the thickness of the pure wool become the real protagonist of the look.
Outfit: Dark blue unconstructed coat, chambray shirt, medium grey tailored trousers with folds, black penny loafers worn with ribbed wool socks.

The tailor's advice: Pure wool has a specific weight and thickness greater than silk. It strictly requires a simple knot (Four-in-hand): its slight asymmetry blends with the material character of the fabric, creating a balanced volume that fills the space without choking the collar.

Product care: Dry clean by professional dry cleaners. Never iron directly on wool — use a damp cotton cloth in between, setting the iron to a low temperature. Store untied and rolled up, or hung, to prevent the fibers from losing elasticity over time. If one day it wears out or needs fixing, there is our Tie Hospital — the only regeneration service in Italy. Send it to us, it will come back like new.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the wool tie too heavy on the neck? +
No. The wool used is spun to maintain flexibility and softness. The weight is calibrated to ensure that the knot holds its position without stiffening the shirt collar.
What knot do you recommend for this 100% wool tie? +
The Four-in-hand (simple) knot. Wool naturally creates more volume than silk, so a basic and slightly asymmetrical knot avoids looking disproportionate.
Can I wear it with an elegant and formal suit? +
It is designed for separates or for textured winter suits like flannel or tweed. With a formal suit in very fine and worsted fabrics, the texture contrast would be disharmonious.
How should a wool tie be stored in the wardrobe? +
It must always be untied at the end of the day, never stored knotted. It can be rolled up starting from the narrowest tip to let the fibers relax, or hung on a tie rack.
